Industries we often talk to
Transportation and Logistics
We advise transportation companies on employment law and collective bargaining agreements. We have in-depth knowledge of the industry and the specific regulatory conditions that apply to the transportation industry, including the regulation of driving and rest periods. We also have knowledge and experience of the collective bargaining agreements applicable to the industry, in particular ATL-3F, DTL-3F and the Multi-Union Agreement. In addition, we understand the unique issues associated with the business models of transportation companies, including the use of subcontractors.
Our experience and capabilities ensure that your company receives practical legal advice with a focus on commercial implementation.
Littler has a long history of advising transportation companies, and we frequently represent transportation companies in disputes with unions and other legal counsel representing employees.
Construction
We advise contractors, building contractors and other operators in the construction industry on the labor and employment challenges that arise when working on medium and large construction projects. The construction industry is characterized by a high degree of collective bargaining coverage and related practices and customs. The use of foreign labor by contractors also poses challenges, both in terms of residence and work permits, but especially in terms of compliance with wage and working condition requirements that are often included in construction contracts - the so-called labor clauses. The political and trade union interests associated with these labor clauses, including the desire to prevent social dumping, do not make navigating the rules any easier, either for Danish clients or foreign contractors.
Dealing with the legal challenges of the construction industry requires specialized counsel that understands the nuances of the industry. At Littler, we have in-depth knowledge of the labor and employment challenges that can arise in construction projects, and our advice is always practical and commercially focused.
